Five providers of business information are opposed to the way in which the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) deals with the Trade Register.

Altares Dun & Bradstreet, CreditDevice, Creditsafe, Company.info and Graydon, together form a new industry association to combat the monopolization of the Trade Register.

In the Trade Register entrepreneurs can look up companies, request company information and order company products such as extracts and company profiles.

In recent years, according to the trade association, the Trade Register has become less accessible, while costs have increased.

According to the providers, access to this information is necessary to, for example, estimate the risks when entering into a new business relationship.
