Sergio Canozzi, Santos market consultant, reviewed the situation regarding the future of young Kaio Jorge, a forward who was linked to Benfica in recent days. Contrary to what was initially reported, Kaio Jorge’s contract is valid until the end of 2023 and not 2021, so Juventus will have to offer much more than the six million euros already reported if it wants to guarantee the Brazilian.
«The player has a contract with Santos until 2023, we have already talked to many clubs. Benfica made a proposal that was not accepted by Kaio’s manager. They could have raised the offer but Benfica is going through a phase with many problems related to management and we prefer to work with Juventus and Italian football, where the player would like to go. In a normal situation, I believe that Kaio could be sold for 25 million euros, but at this point it is difficult for someone to come up with that amount. For 15 million euros, Santos will accept the transfer,” Canozzi told Sky Sport.
