Rafael Nadal beat Richard Gasquet in three sets, in the second round of Roland Garros. It was the 102nd victory in 104 games that the Spaniard leads in the French Grand Slam.
On the day he turned 35, Nadal had a show of strength to open (6-0), with Gasquet balancing things in the second set (7-5). However, in the third round the Spaniard picked up the pace (6-2) and stamped the ticket for the third round.
In the next round, Rafael Nadal will face the British Cameron Norrie.
