Over 150 members of young Swiss Greens read their two new co-presidents at the Aarau assembly of delegates on Saturday: Julia Kng (ZG), 19, and Oleg Gafner (VD), 18. They still adopted their party program and defended the initiative for more affordable housing while camping.

The new co-president Julia Kng got involved in the climate strike and the Zug women strike alongside the Young Greens. For her, her party means: environmentalist, united, anti-capitalist, feminist and democratic. I fight for a and I am ready to invest myself, explains the young woman in a press release.
Oleg Gafner is also motivated to push the Young Greens even further. He joined the Young Greens at the age of 14. As a former co-president of the Young Greens in Vaud and a member of the Young Greens in Switzerland, he can already draw on a wealth of experience.
Another world is possible
The Young Greens have adopted their party program. They are calling for a climate-neutral Switzerland by 2030, the overtaking of capitalism, 100% organic farming and the ban on industrial farming.
The Young Greens have camped Aarau in more than 20 tents to encourage the Swiss to vote on February 9 in favor of the popular initiative of ASLOCA for affordable housing. Housing is becoming more and more expensive and it is difficult for low-income people to find affordable apartments, especially families in the city, they say.
