The President expressed confidence that the people of Belarus support Ukraine, and not the war unleashed against our country by Russia.

The Kremlin decided to draw Belarus into a war with Ukraine. However, Belarusians should not go to die because of the coming of the Russian leadership. This was announced on Sunday, June 26, by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message.

“I would like to address the citizens of Belarus today. To people – both civilians and in uniform. You are being drawn into the war. And even more actively than it was in February and in the spring months. The Kremlin has already decided everything for you – your lives are nothing to them not standing. But you are not slaves and not cannon fodder. You should not die. And you have the power not to let anyone decide for you what awaits you next,” the president said.

He stressed that now a lot depends on ordinary residents of Belarus.

At the same time, the President stressed that the Ukrainian military will defend itself against strikes from any direction and from any weapon.

“This week will be very difficult for all of us,” the head of state summed up.
