Hi there! My rat shredded something with one of the others and carried something off it. The wound has already been treated medically (by the vet), but my rat has apparently scratched the area again.
Now the fur is completely covered with blood at that point. I know I could cautiously get it off with a damp cloth, but unfortunately that doesn’t work because of the wound, everything has been spread out and she doesn’t clean it off on her own either.
Is it possible to put my rat in the bathtub until the whole area is softened and it is easier for me to get away? Maybe with shampoo? (I know you shouldn’t use one, but I’ve got vegan, no chemicals standing around here ..)
I don’t know what else to do. I can’t necessarily afford to run to the vet (only) because of sticky fur, the wound has also been treated again, but as I said, the blood does not come off. Does anyone have an idea how I can best do that?
