Fireworks and truck show during Night of the Giants: Windrose becomes the new name sponsor of the Antwerp basketball club

No fewer than 13,500 spectators descended on the Sportpaleis on Friday for the twelfth edition of the Night of the Giants. Between the third and fourth quarters of the match against the Dutch Landstede Hammers Zwolle, they were treated to quite a surprise: Wen Han, the CEO of Windrose, drove into the Sportpaleis with one of his own trucks to present the new logo of to introduce the Giants. His entrance was graced with the lighting of fireworks. Wen Han was met by Mayor Bart de Wever, CEO John Porter of Telenet and by Björn Verhoeven (chairman of Telenet Giants Antwerp) and Roger Roels (Board of Directors). De Wever even took the driver’s seat.

Windrose will become the new name sponsor of the Giants from next season, but Telenet will also remain an important sponsor of the Antwerp top club in the coming years. Windrose already has a factory near the Chinese city of Shanghai, and a new factory in Antwerp should become the company’s second location.
