There are 3000 billionaires in the world, 2 of them are Bulgarian

3,000 are the world’s billionaires, according to data from “Forbes” as of November 28, 2022. This small part of the world’s population, which already has 8 billion people, has a fortune estimated at around 11.8 trillion dollars. This is 11.8% of world GDP.

Visual Capitalist has released a chart showing where the world’s billionaires live, using data from Forbes.

Billionaires live in 76 of the 195 officially recognized countries in the world.

The United States leads the ranking of countries with the most billionaires. Over 900 people live there, including the richest: Elon Musk with a fortune of over 191 billion dollars. Musk is also the richest person in the world as of November 2022. China is second with 400 billionaires.

The richest Bulgarians are brothers Georgi and Kiril Domuschievi, each with $1.9 billion. As early as November 2021, “Forbes” wrote that the Domuschievi brothers are billionaires in a special article about them and estimated their wealth at 2.1 billion. In April 2022, the brothers made the magazine’s famed rankings and were ranked 1,513th among the richest.

In neighboring Greece, the richest person is a woman. This is Biĸi Cafpa, which is the heir to the richest bank in the world. It requires more than 7 billion dollars.

It is a curious fact that the world’s billionaires are not united in one sector or industry. The exception is perhaps the United States, where a large proportion of billionaires work in the technology sector.

There are many more male than female billionaires. Of the 3,311 billionaires in the world, only 12.9% are women.
