A young girl in France suffered an electric shock in a bathtub after a phone she was charging in a socket fell into the water. Unfortunately, the electric shock was fatal for the girl.
Rescuers intervening on the spot first managed to revive the girl, the newspaper wrote on Saturday The Parisian. The girl was in a coma at the University Hospital in Lyon for several days, then died.
The 13-year-old teenager was at home at the time of the accident with a friend who suffered a shock and was taken to hospital. The exact sequence of events is still being investigated by police. The accident happened in the French city of Macon.
The mother of the deceased subsequently appealed to teenagers and their parents in the local newspapers to be careful.
“This must be a warning to other young people because, as they say, they have hands-on phones. I urge you not to take the phone in the bathtub, as it can end tragically,” said the mother.
