Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Roman Ivanov announced that eating fruits in large quantities is dangerous to human health.

According to him, excessive consumption of fruits leads to allergies and disturbances in the work of the digestive system.

He says, “Doctors usually recommend eating fruits daily, so that their percentage in the diet does not exceed 15 percent, 20 percent vegetables, 25 percent dairy products, 30 percent whole grains, and 10 percent meat and legumes. These proportions are ideal for a balanced diet necessary to maintain the metabolism in the body.” Therefore, it is never recommended to replace other foods with fruits, because it may lead to a deficiency in proteins, fats, vitamins and mineral elements.

Dangers of overeating fruits

And Ivanov points out that fruits contain a high percentage of fructose sugar, which leads to a high level in the body and the development of diabetes. Also, excessive intake of fresh fruits can lead to indigestion, bloating, and a large amount of gas.

He says: “Excessive consumption of fruits sometimes causes a pseudo-allergic reaction. That is, the body is sensitive to biologically active substances: histamine and thiamine (found in bananas, pineapple, kiwi, citrus fruits, pears, plums and apples) or salicylates (found in strawberries, sour cherries, apricots and pears). Symptoms of the reaction In this case, it resembles allergy symptoms, such as redness of the skin, hives, swelling of the mucous membranes, nausea, diarrhea, and sometimes asthma attacks.
