Former striker Djibril Cissé wants the opportunity to return to play in the French league to reach the mark of 100 goals in the French league.
«I’ve been trying to come back for two years because I’m a scorer, a number 9. I’m just four goals away from reaching 100 in the French league. If someone offered me the opportunity to play, I would do it for free», assumed the former French international, in statements to Olivier Dacourt in the documentary ‘The Twilight of Champions’.
Cissé, 41 years old, who abandoned football in 2021, has career passages through Auxerre, Liverpool, Lazio, Marseille, among others. The player has 96 goals in the French championship.
