Roger Tamba leaves Annecy for a N2 club • Actufoot • Pro / amateur football news

Direction the lower echelon for Roger Tamba. The 23-year-old midfielder, who arrived in Annecy in 2020, has agreed with his club for a departure in September. For the rest of the 2021/2022 season, the former Bourgoin Jallieu will wear the colors of US Saint-Malo, current 15th in Pool A of National 2.

Recruited by Juve at 17

Midfielder with an unusual trajectory, Roger Tamba had been recruited by Juventus Turin at only 17 years old, and had convinced the Turin leaders to offer him a pro contract covering three seasons. Successively loaned to Austria and Croatia to get tougher, however, between 2016 and 2019, he represented the U19s and U23s of the Bianconeri. Subsequently, he requested the termination of his contract to engage in the Cypriot first division at Apollon Limassol, where he had participated in two Europa League matches.

Never summoned this season

Returning to France in August 2020, Roger Tamba had played with Annecy 16 matches, including 8 as a starter, during the 2020/2021 financial year. But this season, the new coach Laurent Guyot did not seem to be counting on him and had never called him for the first eight league games. In Pool A of National 2, he should find some playing time under the orders of Fabien Pujo. And why not this Sunday, on the AC Rennes field, on the occasion of the fourth round of the Coupe de France?
