The heat is due to the position of the high pressure area. Park near Bermuda, off the east coast. This brings with it a warm southwest wind. This will help raise our temperatures to about 20 degrees above average.

How long will it last?

Like most spring warm-ups, the mild temperatures are short-lived. That will also be the case this time. Look for readings to return to the 50s and 60s for Friday and the weekend, and by Tuesday we will be back in the 40s.
