Pierre LeBrun told us about it on weekend last: Carey Price was scheduled to meet a medical specialist in New York during the week.
As @frank_seravalli reported, I also believe Price will have his hip checked out. But the potential surgery I’m told is knee related

The results of this meeting to assess Price’s hip, but especially his knee (which could be operated on), were to be known on Friday, two days after the expansion draft.
However, we now know that this medical appointment takes place today. Carey Price and his wife Angela flew to New York City last night without their children.
This morning Angela also posted a story in which she wonders if she should enjoy her morning off to stay in bed and rest. She was in Manhattan.
So tomorrow Carey Price will know if he will have to go under the knife to correct something in his knee. If so, he might be ready in time for the next campaign (if arthroscopy is only used to clean the joint), he might miss a few weeks of activities (if minor meniscus operation for example) or he might have to wait until 2022 before playing his next match (if ligaments are repaired).
Remember that according to Stéphane Waite (who is not at all worried about the health of his former goalkeeper), it would only be a question of a small minor operation like one in three NHL goalkeepers undergoes during the off-season. Hopefully he will be right.
Could the Canadian really hope to make the playoffs if Price, Weber, Tatar, Danault, Drouin and Staal are not present for the opening of the season?
The next few hours will still be interesting for anyone wishing to know the rest of the saga Carey Price.

Why does Jamie Oleskiak have one more year on contract and $ 600,000 more per year than Adam Larsson with the Kraken?
