The Shelby American team built the Mustang Super Snake Widebody Concept on the chassis of the 2015 Mustang with the aim of seeing how far they can push the performance of this sixth generation car.

While Shelby products are renowned for their incredible power and speed on the straight, the automaker is now working to dramatically improve the car’s handling.

What sets the Shelby Mustang Super Snake Widebody Concept apart from the standard Mustang and other Shelby products are the wheel arches which are 2.5 inches wider at the front and 4 inches wider at the rear.

Under this arch are 20-inch Super Snake wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that measure 305mm wide at the front and 345mm at the rear.

Additionally, Shelby’s performance specialists have installed a fully adjustable coilover suspension from Cortex, rear control arms Shelby American / Rogue Engineering tubular, oversized Brembo brakes with red painted calipers and ventilated grooved rotor, pin hardened wheels and stronger axles and hubs.

Adorning the exterior of this muscle car is a Lightning Blue color scheme with a black racing stripe pattern. The Shelby Mustang Super Snake is also equipped with carbon fiber front and rear spoilers and carbon fiber rearview mirror caps.

In terms of horsepower, the standard 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine has been fitted with a Shelby-Whipple supercharger and produces no less than 750 horsepower.

The Borla’s twin cat-back exhaust is also installed alongside the six-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels.

Mecum Auctions will sell the car at the Kissimmee sales event which takes place January 4-15, 2023. The car has had only one owner since it was purchased and has a mileage of 1,350 miles (2,172 km) on the meter. [ibd/dera/timBX] various sources.
