Shannon Doherty is angry with those who do not respect social distancing: "With stage 4 cancer, my struggle is already hard"

Actress Shannon Doherty, with the help of her Instagram profile, has been asking people to stay home. In the photo published on the social network, she is seen, we are standing in a sunny room and holding a sheet of paper with the words “I stay at home (and scare) for all of us. Stay home. ”

Along with the photo, Doherty explained why it is so important to protect yourself and each other right now. “I’m staying home (and scolding) for ALL of us,” the actress writes. “Those who, like me, struggle with cancer every day to get more time. Because of my mother. Because of your family. Because of her husband. Because of her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Because of your friends. Because of your friend’s children. For each of you. ”

“By itself, stage 4 cancer is also quite severe. Around 28 years ago when I met Deborah, she made me squeeze into very tight red patent pants. It was an instant friendship. A friendship that in 28 years has endured, grown and been cherished by us both. She taught me to play backgammon. She introduced me to the island of ST. Barth which started our girl trips there. We danced on tables (and fell off them- inside joke) all around the world together. I was her maid of honor at her wedding to the love of her life Craig. We cried when she called to tell me she was pregnant with her extraordinary daughter Olivia. She spoke 5 plus languages fluently. We went to the same high school we discovered. We worked on shows together. We grew up…. together. She was a constant. Thru my cancer and I for her when she got diagnosed 4 years ago. She smiled, a lot. She radiated beauty, intelligence and goodness. She was and is wedged into my heart so deeply. We were more than best friends. We were sisters. Tied to each other by the universe, by our very essences that recognized each other instantly. Deb I hope you are dancing on tables again, having a tequila and shooting the shit with God. Prior to this recording, Doherty released a self-recorded video showing a view from the car. The highway is full of cars. People are trying en masse to get to Malibu.

Shannon Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015 and underwent a unilateral mastectomy. The cancer had spread to the lymphatics and she had to undergo a course of chemotherapy and radiation, as well as severe reconstructive surgery. In 2017, Doherty happily announced remission of the disease. Unfortunately, in February of this year, she was forced to reveal to fans that the cancer has returned, in addition to stage 4.

The actress thanked everyone for “love, prayer and support”. She admitted that this was a “strange time” and that she felt that the earth had disappeared under her feet. However, despite the diagnosis, the actress confirmed that she is quite optimistic to fight for her life, at the same time appreciating each new day given.
