The Angels – Los Angeles police raided the home of controversial US rocker Marilyn Manson after allegations of sexual violence by several women. “We can confirm that a search was carried out,” said a spokeswoman on Tuesday on request. There was initially no further information about the incident.
Several women had brought allegations or lawsuits against the 52-year-old Manson for sexual or physical violence in the past few months. For example, actress Evan Rachel Wood accused her ex-boyfriend of years of “horrific” abuse in an Instagram post in February.
Manson: Police are investigating alleged incidents between 2009 and 2011
Los Angeles police opened an investigation into allegations of domestic violence. According to an earlier release from the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation revolves around allegations of domestic violence between 2009 and 2011 when Manson lived in West Hollywood. The singer immediately rejected the allegations. His art and his life have long been “magnets for controversy”, but the claims about him are “terrible falsifications of reality,” the musician wrote on Instagram in February.
Most recently, Manson surrendered to the police because of an incident at a concert in 2019 with an arrest warrant against him. At that time, Manson is said to have spat on a camerawoman several times. He was released on bail.
