– In connection with training activity on Mågerø, there has been an accident that has resulted in injury to a soldier. The soldier has been taken to hospital for treatment. The police have been on the scene and initiated an investigation, the police write in a press release.
The Armed Forces states in a press release that the soldier is conscripted and that he is injured as a result of a shooting accident.
– The soldier has been transported to Ullevål hospital in Oslo for further treatment. Notification of relatives is in progress.
Police station chief in Tønsberg, Øystein Holt, tells TV 2 that he does not know anything more at the moment.
– We have sent a patrol there to start an investigation. So we have not concluded with what has happened. That’s what we’re investigating.
