A mother, whose 5-month-old baby was discovered dead at the family home in Pontault-Combault (Seine-et-Marne) on Saturday afternoon, was still actively sought this Sunday morning by police and firefighters accompanied by dogs. The family lives in a quiet residence, in the south of the town bordered by the Francilienne and the Nationale 4 and bordering the Val-de-Marne department.
It all starts around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, when the father and two of his children, aged 10 and 12, are back at the family duplex located on the 3rd floor of this building, located in the heart of a residential area. The father, who had left his wife and their 5-month-old son alone, comes across a note in which his wife blames herself for the child’s death. According to our information, she suffers from mental disorders.
After a quick inspection, the man discovers the lifeless baby in a room. Her 37-year-old mother has visibly fled, leaving her cell phone behind.
Immediately, three canine fire brigades are deployed to try to find the missing woman. During this time, police officers from the departmental security and experts from the technical and scientific police go through the apartment with a fine comb.

After a quick examination of the body, no trace of violence was detected on the small victim. “An autopsy should take place at the beginning of the week,” said a source close to the investigation.
