Muntagirov will also be seen in the role of Prince Siegfried on September 4. His stage partner Odeta-Odilia will be Julia Brauer.
The LNOB representative pointed out that ballet choreographer-director Aivars Leimanis will keep the original choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in the new performance of “Swan Lake”.
Luxurious costumes for the new production were created by American costume designer Robert Perdziola, who created the visual image of ballet and opera at the Metropolitan Opera, the American Ballet Theater, the Boston Ballet, the Chicago Lyrical Opera, the Finnish National Opera and elsewhere.
Inspired by the palaces of King Ludwig the Second of Bavaria, Lindenhof and Neuschwanstein, the scenography was created by Spanish artist Juan Guillermo Nova. The premiere of the ballet “Swan Lake” is conducted by Mārtiņš Ozoliņš.
