Navalny will sue Putin’s spokesman

“You know, I rarely sue propagandists, even though they lie about me all day. I just don’t want to waste time. But here’s a direct statement from a civil servant. So, first of all, I sue Peskov,” the opposition said in a statement on his website.

“Secondly, I demand the publication of evidence and facts that point to my ‘work with CIA specialists.’ Show it on television, at the best time.

“I’m just sure they have portraits of Gebels hanging everywhere in the Kremlin. Everything is under his direction. A horribly bright lie spreads quickly, attracts attention and distracts from what needs to be hidden,” Navalny writes. “I clearly believe that Putin is personally behind the assassination against me. Who else could have ordered the two or three heads of special services who have Novicok and the people who learned to use it? I told him about it.” for the magazine “Der Spiegel”. “

“If until now the Kremlin’s lies ranged from ‘it’s diabetes’ to ‘he simulated and poisoned himself’, then, according to my statement, something more colorful and aggressive should have been lied. The case is being put to the good old CIA. (..) Only this time “not Putin ‘s state television clown, but Putin’ s spokesman Peskov,” said Navalny.

As the Kremlin’s press secretary told reporters on Thursday, Navalny’s accusations that Putin is behind his chemical poisoning “Novichok” are unfounded.

Journalists also asked Peskov to comment on the allegations made by Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, who is working with foreign intelligence services.

“It is rather that the patient does not work with the Western special services, but the Western special services work with him. It will be more correct,” Peskov explained.

“Indeed, there is such information. I can even say specifically that he is being worked with by the US Central Intelligence Agency these days,” he added.

In an interview published on the website of the German magazine “Der Spiegel” on Thursday, Navalni expressed confidence that Putin is behind his poisoning with the chemical weapon “Novičok”.

“I claim that Putin is behind the crime and I have no other version of what happened,” Navalny said in an interview.

On August 20, Navalny was ill during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, the pilot made an emergency landing at Omsk airport, and Navalny was taken unconscious to Omsk Hospital with signs of poisoning. On August 22, Navalny was transferred from Russia to Germany, where he was treated by the Charite clinic at the University of Berlin.

On 2 September, Germany stated that indisputable evidence had been obtained that Navalny had been poisoned by a nerve-paralyzing warfare substance belonging to the Novichok group. This conclusion was later confirmed by the French and Swedish laboratories.

On September 22, Navalni was discharged from a Berlin hospital.

Western countries have asked Russia for explanations, but the Kremlin has denied any involvement in the assassination attempt.

In a conversation with Der Spiegel, Navalny reiterated his plans to return to Russia, stressing: “My task now is to remain fearless. I’m not afraid.”
