MTA employee beaten at Manhattan station

An MTA employee was attacked at a subway station in Manhattan.

The suspect wanted by the police can be seen on surveillance video.

Authorities say the incident took place this Friday, at 3:30 in the afternoon, inside the 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue station in Chelsea.

Investigators determined that the subject was on the platform of trains C and E when he initiated a dispute with the 65-year-old employee.

The suspect punched the worker in the face and then fled the station on Eighth Avenue.

The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries to one eye and face, but is now in stable condition.
