After passing all the subjects that are a requirement to be a high school graduate of the Republic, this Saturday afternoon fifteen soldiers and one civilian obtained their degree that accredits them as a high school graduate and allows them to continue university studies, as confirmed by the Minister of Defense, Francis Merino Monroy.
“There are fifteen soldiers and one civilian woman who completed their high school studies at the “Soldiers for Peace” Night School Center, located in the Second Infantry Brigade, based in Santa Ana,” added the soldier.
“Today I had the honor of presiding over the graduation of the 16 new high school graduates of the Republic together with the Minister of Education, Mauricio Pineda. “We recognize the effort that the troops made to be able to study at night and at the same time, fulfill their responsibilities to the country in defending the honest population from gang groups,” the official stressed.
“Now, it depends on them whether they want to continue with university or technical level studies. For our part, we are going to give them the opportunity to improve themselves academically,” said Merino Monroy.
