This systematization collects the memories of the dialogues, conversations and online meetings held during the months of June and July of the year 2020 within the framework of the project “Educational inclusion for the population in a situation of human mobility and their host communities” financed by the fund Global Education Cannot Wait (ECW), which benefited more than 51,000 children and adolescents and around 1,500 teachers and technical personnel from different educational institutions in the country.

These spaces were organized by the UNESCO Office in Quito and transmitted through their social networks, in coordination with the Ministry of Education of Ecuador (MINEDUC). The publication includes a synthesis of the main themes of our online events:

  • Dialogue on inclusion and non-violence in education in Azuay (June 11, 2020).
  • Dialogue on educational inclusion in the contexts of homeschooling and gradual return to the classroom: challenges and challenges in Manabí (July 23, 2020).
  • Dialogue on achievements and challenges of educational inclusion in indigenous communities in the province of Imbabura (July 25, 2020).
  • Dialogue on successful inclusion experiences from the public and private sectors in Pichincha (July 29, 2020).
  • Online meeting: digital resources for the flipped classroom (July 30, 2020).

All these actions contributed to the strengthening of the capacities of teachers, staff of the Student Counseling Departments (DECE), administrative personnel and public servants of the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), from their own perspectives and territorial proposals. Likewise, they contributed to disseminating relevant information on the right to education, equality and non-discrimination, and educational inclusion in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador. We invite everyone to read and spread the present systematization.
