if inflation does not fall in the second quarter, we will respond

As Prime Minister Morawiecki said in the “Guest of the News” program on TVP, such actions would be possible in the second and third quarters of 2022.

The prime minister also added that the anti-inflation shield adopted by the government should translate into a drop in inflation by 1 to 1.5 pp.

– It is the task of the state to make this inflation lower – added the head of government.

Meanwhile, the government announced the extension of the anti-inflationary shield. It was decided to lower it to 8 percent. VAT rate for heat and apply the “PLN for PLN” rule in the cover allowance.

Meanwhile, the preliminary calculations of the Central Statistical Office show that inflation in November was the highest in the entire century – and amounted to 7.7%.

The prime minister was also asked whether the bill on the verification of covid certificates by the employer was acceptable. – I would be for it – replied Morawiecki. – We have a fairly strong anti-vaccination movement in Poland and all over Europe, inspired, unfortunately, also from outside – he said.
