Almost the entire globe has been hit for several weeks by the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of contaminations with the coronavirus Sars-CoV-2 brings this Friday, April 17 to 2,216,228 confirmed cases, in 185 countries and territories, according to a balance sheet established by researchers from the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) ) from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. A total of 151,006 people died, while 565,864 others recovered.
The original focus of the pandemic, China – not counting the territories of Hong Kong and Macao – has counted 83,753 cases, a number which is now increasing very little day by day, prompting some to question the veracity of the figures given. The country is now largely surpassed by the United States (684,920 cases), Spain (188,093 cases) and Italy (172,4341 cases). Next come France (147,121 cases), Germany (139,134 cases), the United Kingdom (109,769) and Iran (79,494).
