The Cameroonian federation had to change 21 of the 30 players called up for the qualifying round of the under-17 CAN. The athletes underwent MRI scans to prove their age, but only nine passed the test.
The information was disclosed in a press release by the Cameroonian federation itself, with the aim of removing the controversies in which it was involved.
«This action is the result of the strict instructions of the president of FECAFOOT [Samuel Eto’o]mandated by COMEX, to put an end to the adulteration of records, which, in the past, has tarnished the image of Cameroonian football.”
