The 41-year-old athlete died in his home after being discharged from the hospital, writes the portal “sport.nv.ua”.
Back in November, the trainer sent Sinistr to a medical facility for Covid-19 infection and deteriorating health.
The kickboxer later shared a photo of him with an oxygen mask lying in a hospital bed. When the athlete arrived at the hospital, he claimed that his age and physical condition would protect him from this “little virus.”
After a while, Sinistra decided to receive treatment at home. “Thank you for your support. I’m recovering at home. I also need to. I’ll be back a thousand times stronger,” the boxer wrote.
However, a few days later he died of cardiac arrest.
Sinistra was an active supporter of the Covid-19 vaccine and criticized the Belgian government for imposing restrictions on Covid-19.
