The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of Kazakhstan informed that the multimodal Trans-Caspian international transport route will be from Aktau (Kurika) by ferry to Baku (Aljata) and by rail in Azerbaijan and Georgia to Batumi and Poti, then in Europe by Baku-Tbilisi-Karsa to the Turkish ports of Istanbul and Mersin.

An alternative rail route to the Caspian Sea will be through a station named after Dina Nurpeisov in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan and a samurai station in the Dagestan Republic of Russia to Beukuku-Kesika in Azerbaijan and the ports of Poti and Batumi in Georgia.
