MEPs Iskra Mihailova and Ilhan Kyuchuk are already vice-presidents of the DPS. A total of 7 deputies will have co-chairmen Delyan Peevski and Jevdet Chakarov, the Central Council of the party decided today. The choice of which ones they made the two leaders and the honorary leader Ahmed Dogan.

Among the new ones are the deputy Jeyhan Ibryamov and the deputy mayor of Novi Pazar Aysel Rufad.

Yordan Tsonev, Stanislav Anastasov and Halil Letifov remain vice-presidents.

Until now, there were 4 governors, after Ahmed Akhmedov also resigned in November, shortly after Mustafa Karadai. In addition to him, the former mayor of Kardzhali, Hassan Aziz, also dropped out. However, his successor as mayor of the city, Errol Mümün, is part of the new composition of the Central Operational Bureau (COB).

A total of 24 people join the bureau together with Peevski and Chakarov. The new co-chairmen of the youth, Tanzer Yuseinov and Ibrahim Zaidenov, also became part of the close leadership of the movement.

Seven MPs will sit in the Central Committee: Ramadan Atalai, Hamid Hamid, Valentin Tonchev, Alizan Yahova, Sevim Ali, Mario Rangelov and Tsvetan Enchev, as well as two more representatives of the youth: the son of the former minister Nihat Kabil – Taner (he was temporary for 3 months leader of the MDPS), and Levent Memish – until recently deputy head.

Among the new members are the mayor of Belica Radoslav Revanski, the secretary of the CEC Sevinc Solakova and the former social minister Hasan Ademov.

However, other prominent figures of the party are parting with their seats – Emel Etem, who is among the founders of DPS, two former and one current deputy head of the parliament – Nijar Jafer, Yunal Lutfi and Filiz Huysmenova. The long-time deputies Yanko Yankov and Imren Mehmedova, as well as the until recently MPDS leader Sezgin Mehmed, remain outside the leadership.

This ends the series of internal elections in the party, which ensured a change from the local structures to the national leadership.
