Iran warns of escalating war crimes and potential consequences in Israel-Hamas conflict

Iran warned that if the “war crimes and genocide” committed by Israel were not stopped immediately, “the situation would spiral out of control and ricochet into far-reaching consequences,” Reuters reported. The agency referred to a publication by the Iranian representation at the United Nations in New York on the social platform “X” (until recently “Twitter”).

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has warned that there is less and less time left to find political solutions to prevent the inevitable “expansion” of the war between Israel and Hamas, France Press reported.

In telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Tunisia, Malaysia and Pakistan, Amir Abdollahian “stressed that the time to find political solutions is running out; the likely spread of the war to other fronts is approaching a stage” where it will become inevitable, according to a statement published in “Ex”.

The Iranian foreign minister stressed “the need to immediately stop the crimes and killings of the Zionist regime and to send humanitarian aid” to Gaza. Yesterday, at the end of his tour of Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Qatar, he already warned that “no one” can “guarantee control of the situation” if Israel launches a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned that a possible “ground attack” by the Israeli army in Gaza “will lead to a protracted war on many fronts,” according to a message sent by Mohammad Jamshidi, one of his political advisers, writes BTA.

In another phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Raisi said Iran was ready to “cooperate with Turkey and other Muslim countries” to “send humanitarian aid” to Gaza after the expected opening of the crossing with Egypt.

During his tour, Amir Abdolakhian met with senior officials of Hamas, reports AFP.
