FIBA suspended the rights of a former player of “Neftokhimik” – 2024-05-01 09:43:56

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) imposed a punishment on the Bulgarian basketball player Teodora Dineva.

The until recently national player was banned from participating in all activities of the headquarters or those related to it, reported BF Basketball.

The sanction has already entered into force and is until October 25, 2026, and the reason is violation of the Code of Ethics and integrity, as well as because of participation in bets.

“The federation supports FIBA’s policy and will not tolerate activities contrary to the principles of fair play and fair play, and will continue to take action to combat illegal betting.

In connection with other ongoing investigations, FIBA ​​and BF Basketball remind all players, coaches, referees and federation-licensed persons that they can still report if they have information about violations. Failure to do so will result in penalties even if you were not involved in the breach you failed to report.”says the official statement of BF Basketball.

FIBA’s investigation began as early as October last year, shortly after Dineva joined Lithuanian side Kibirkstis Vilnius.

The Dupnetsa-born basketball player played two seasons for Neftohimik 2010 in Burgas.

In 2022, Teodora Dineva was voted #1 in her native basketball.
