Intel Upgrades Performance of Arc A750 Gaming Graphics Card

Intel has updated the performance of the Arc A750 graphics processing unit (GPU) optimized for gaming. Game graphics performance is improved by up to 77% through software improvements.

Intel announced on the 18th that the Arc A750 pushed for an update to support optimized gaming in various environments such as Direct 9 (DX9). DX is a comprehensive multimedia library of Microsoft (MS) and is necessary to optimize the gaming environment.

Previously, in October of last year, Intel released the GPU ‘Arc A750’, which focuses on high performance, efficiency, and scalability for cutting-edge content production. At the beginning of the release, we focused only on the DX12 environment, which is mainly used by the latest games.

Graphics processing such as rendering in the DX9 or DX11 environment was evaluated as relatively inferior. As a result of the actual benchmark test, in the DX9 environment, it was found that the performance was inferior to the equivalent GPU products of competitors such as NVIDIA and AMD.

Intel this time standardized the average frame rate (FPS) of the Arc A750, leading to an average graphics performance increase of 43% per DX9 game. Compared to the previous version, StarCraft 2 improved by 31%, League of Legends (LoL) by 45%, Lost Ark by 51%, and CS:GO by 77%.

The price was set at around 330,000 won ($249), maintaining price competitiveness compared to NVIDIA and AMD equivalent GPUs. Gaming performance in the DX11 environment has also been improved.

Intel supports checking the performance of the central processing unit (CPU) and GPU through ‘GPU Busy’. System semiconductor performance, such as CPU frame time and GPU rendering operation time, can be analyzed and replacement time predicted.

The PresentMon service, which is specialized for arc testing, will also be officially launched on the 21st. It provides gaming PC balance metrics, integrated GPU telemetry/capture, various software/open source and extensive application program interfaces (APIs).
