This year, our puppet filmmakers are celebrating the 55th anniversary of their industry – on August 28, 1966, young viewers saw the very first Latvian puppet film “Ki-ke-ri-gū”. Since 1990, the “Animation Brigade” continues the puppet film traditions of the Riga Film Studio, started by the legendary director Arnolds Burovs.
