Stephen Spielberg with a remake of West Side Story, Northern Ireland director Kenneth Brana with black and white childhood drama Belfast, American director Paul Thomas Anderson with Licorice Pizza and Japanese director were also nominated for Best Director. Rjusuke Hammaguchi with the three-hour drama “Drive My Car”.

The musical fantasy comedy “Encanto” (“Encanto”) has been recognized as the best animated film.

Oscar for Best Original Music has been awarded to Hans Cimmer for music for Dune, and Billy Ailis has been awarded Best Original Song, and Finnea O’Connell for No Time to Die in the new James Bond film.

Japanese “Drive My Car” was named “Best International Film” in the “Oscar” category for “Best of Documentary”.

The award “Best Original Screenplay” went to Belfast, and the “Best Adapted Screenplay” category to CODA.
