The legendary band Citron is ending for good in the fall. It shocked not only the fans, but also her frontman Láďa Křížek. The breakup is not from his head, the manager confronted him with a fait accompli.
Until a week ago, Láďa Křížek had no idea that something like this was about to happen. The news of Citron’s end came as a blow from the blue.
At first, the rocker did not want to comment on the circumstances, but in the end he said everything. “Two years ago, our drummer Radim Pařízek died and was replaced by his son, bassist Radim Pařízek Jr. However, he is now going through a difficult divorce period and simply cannot keep up with the band. That’s why our PR manager announced to all of us that the whole band will end,” he confided Flash.
Citron will play a farewell tour in the fall. Křížek will then perform only with his second group, Kreyson.
The ending band was formed in 1976 under the name Citrón, until the beginning of the 80s they played blues rock. Then she transformed into the hard rock Citron. It was led by Pařízek until his death in 2021.
He has an incredible 16 albums, three compilations and countless singles to his credit. “I have nothing more to add. I’ll put my energy into new songs” Křížek concluded in a low voice.
