BOLA – UNITA says Angolan President “is afraid of the people” (Angola)

The UNITA leader said that the MPLA president, a party in the government, “is afraid of the people”.

Adalberto Costa Júnior was speaking at the opening of the II ordinary meeting of the Political Commission of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), meeting in the next two days and spoke about the consequences of the attempted demonstration, last Saturday, which had the support of UNITA, and responded to Thursday’s speech by the Angolan President, João Lourenço, also leader of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), at the IV ordinary session of the party’s Central Committee.

“Angola has witnessed the departure of society organizations, especially young people pushed by suffering and a lack of hope, driven by a thousand broken promises,” said Adalberto Costa Júnior.

According to the politician, for the Government, the population that goes out into the streets and expresses “only” can be linked to UNITA, he said.
