C2 Capital Partners, an independent venture capital company owned by Nuno Gaioso Ribeiro, former vice president of Benfica, confirmed that it was the target of searches this Thursday, following the PSP operation that led Luís Filipe Vieira to be arrested.

«C2 CAPITAL PARTNERS – SCR, SA, hereby informs that on this date it was the target of non-domicile searches, focusing exclusively on its capacity as management company of the Specialized Alternative Investment Fund (FIAE) Promotion and Tourism.
As could be expected, C2 CAPITAL cooperated voluntarily and freely in the proceedings in progress, especially since neither the company nor any of its directors were appointed as defendants or have any other procedural position.
No other procedural steps were taken. The information requested had as its sole and exclusive object elements related to FIAE. C2 CAPITAL reiterates, as it has done publicly at other times, including in the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee, the legality and integrity of its conduct in the process of constitution and management of FIAE.»
