In Russia in Kamchatka, an unusual phenomenon was captured on video in the village of Ust-Kamchatsk. The footage shows how a huge swarm of mosquitoes forms a tornado, which then disintegrates. This was reported by the local newspaper Kamchatka-Inform.

According to entomologist Lyudmila Lobkova, such a tornado is not dangerous for people.

“These are male mosquitoes that do not hunt warm-blooded animals, but circle around one or more females in order to mate,” she explained.

The expert noted that this phenomenon occurs annually, but it can be seen depending on the number of insects and weather conditions.

It was previously reported that Australia enveloped in massive cobwebs… They were formed due to the survival instinct of spiders. In connection with floods, insects try to rise higher above ground level.
