Biden is alarmed that Putin “currently has no way out” of the war in Ukraine

Putin mistakenly believed that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would destroy NATO and the European Union, Biden said. Instead, however, the United States and several European countries sided with Ukraine.

According to Baiden, he is worried that the Russian president, whom he considers a predictable person, “has no way out of the situation at the moment”. The US president added that he himself was “trying to figure out what to do with it.”

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the West imposed a number of sanctions on Russia and supported Ukraine, including with armaments.

The United States alone, according to Pentagon estimates for May 6, has sent Ukraine about $ 3.8 billion in military aid since the start of the war.

On May 9, Biden signed the Landlise Act, which will speed up the supply of US military equipment to Ukraine. Thanks to the law, Biden could order the United States to provide military equipment to the Ukrainian government or the authorities of other Eastern European countries that were “affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to help increase their defense capabilities.”

The Kremlin said Western action, including the supply of armaments to Ukraine, “does not contribute to the speedy completion of the operation, but at the same time does not prevent it from achieving its objectives during a special military operation.”

On May 9, Putin said Russia was fulfilling all plans for a “special operation” in Ukraine. He pointed out that Russia would use the slightest opportunity to resolve the “problem” of Donbass in a peaceful way, “but we were not left with that opportunity, it was not given simply”.
