On Friday, the World Surf League (WSL), the governing body for professional surfers worldwide, named the Apple Watch as official competition equipment. The write the body on its website.
During the 2023 Championship Tour, participating competitive surfers will wear an Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch Ultra with the accompanying WSL app to receive real-time updates on scores, remaining time and more during the course of the competition.
The app and the watch must have been tested in two previous competitions to see that it meets the requirements.
