“According to preliminary data, all passengers and crew were killed. A total of 28 people,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov noted that the crew of the crashed plane was experienced.

According to him, the wreckage of the plane – probably the An-26 that disappeared in the morning – discovered near the village of Palana in Kamchatka.

Earlier on Tuesday, during a regular passenger flight on the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Palana route, about 10 minutes before landing, communication with the crew of the An-26 aircraft belonging to the Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise was lost. Onboard there were 22 passengers and six crew members.

Meteorological conditions at the time of landing of the aircraft near the destination airport were difficult.
