- On Labor Day, the FNV union is organizing a march and a demonstration in Amsterdam. The march starts on Museum Square and ends in Martin Luther King Park with a debate stage, live music and various activities for young and old.
- A park with an exhibition of weapons and vehicles captured in the war in Ukraine opens in Moscow.
- The football players of FC Twente can become national champions today. With a victory in the away match against number four in the rankings Fortuna Sittard, coach Joran Pot’s team is assured of the title. Competitor Ajax, who have five points less with two rounds to go, receives PSV. The match is at 6.45 pm and can be seen on NOS.nl and in the app.

Broadcaster PowNed withdraws a documentary about diabetes drug Ozempic. The decision follows a warning from the Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate, PowNed chairman Dominique Weesie confirms after reporting in the AD. The inspectorate believes the documentary leans too much towards advertising the drug.
From documentary PowNed of View: De Prikpen would be broadcast tonight on NPO 3. In the documentary, presenter Filemon Wesselink injects himself with the diabetes medicine. The announcement of the documentary states that Wesselink will also talk to diabetes patients and show the illegal trade in the medicine.
