NEW ENGLAND, UNITED STATES.- Barbara Higgins She went from being an ordinary teacher in New Hampshire, New England, America, to becoming one of the longest-lived women to give birth.
The 57-year-old woman says that her desire to be a mother arose in 2016, when a brain tumor took her daughter’s life Molly, who was barely 13 years old and although he still had his eldest daughter, Gracie, she was left with the feeling of an unfinished motherhood.

Barbara recognizes that her third child will not be able to replace the place of her deceased daughter, but somehow it appeases her desire to continue exercising her motherhood and assures that she is willing to give the best to that baby.
Jack’s arrival
On March 20, Barbara gave birth to a healthy baby in the Hospital Concord. “It was all a bit surreal, honestly,” Higgins said in surprise; for her part, her husband Kenny Banzhoff He said: “We beat the odds.”
The child was baptized under the name of Jack And he has become the darling of the entire family, including his older sister Gracie, who is more than two decades apart.

Barbara says that it all started when after Molly’s death she dreamed of a small voice calling her “mom” and she immediately woke up wanting to call the hospital to request a fertilization process, but then she decided that if she did, it had to be with Calm down.
Eventually the couple was able to get pregnant through in vitro fertilization which was weakened thanks to Higgins having been dedicated to physical conditioning all his life, even saying that he was lifting weights the day he went into labor.

And although the couple admits that they went through all kinds of comments when they had to tell their friends and family that they were expecting a baby, they affirm that none of this mattered to them, because they are convinced that, despite being 57 and 65 years old, their decision it is not error.
“I have never made a risky decision, and this one is not. I will not be the only ‘grandmother’ who waits for the children to leave daycare, but of course I will be the only one who has had her own baby,” Higgins said convinced .
