A film was made in Latvia, in which Hollywood actors participated

She said the film was made with the help of the crowd funding platform Crowdestor, and it has invested 1.7 million euros, attracted from more than 2,000 investors across Europe.

According to Kirs, at a time when filming was limited or impossible due to epidemiological safety restrictions in many countries around the world, the restrictions in Latvia did not create significant obstacles to the making of the film. The opportunity for the representatives of the Latvian film industry to participate in the creation of a specific project has arisen thanks to the investors of the crowd investment platform “Crowdestor”.

Maksims Pavlovs, a producer of the Latvian producers’ association “Forma Pro Films”, pointed out that the film “Warhunt”, which was created entirely in Latvia, allowed to work with large-caliber stars from the USA. In his opinion, this film will allow to bring the name of the Latvian film industry to the world, showing the performance of local actors, producers and other specialists involved in the film.

“Admittedly, the pandemic, although delaying the film on the big screens for a few months, allowed us to grind it like a jewel. At a time when Latvia had stricter epidemiological restrictions, we temporarily stopped filming. This time was very useful to look back on “This was not our first experience with world – famous actors, but we are especially proud of this project,” said Pavlov.

Latvian actors such as Dainis Grūbe, Rihards Lepers, Jurijs Djakandovs and Ieva Segliņa have participated in the project. The producers of the film are Igors Proņins and Jūlija Zaiceva from the Latvian producers’ association “Forma Pro Films”. One of the preconditions for the project was to attract local producers, which is why the decision was made to shoot the film in Latvia with the opportunity to attract Latvian actors and other specialists involved in the film, Ķirse explained.
