While the Quai Saint-Antoine market was in full swing this Sunday morning in Lyon, a Mercedes turned around and hit the terrace of a café.
It was around 11 a.m. that the spectacular accident occurred, according to Le Progrès. A speeding motorist reportedly lost control of his vehicle. It hit two cars parked along the quays and then turned around on the terrace of the Café du Marché. Note that the zone is limited to 30km/h.
Luckily, the establishment has closed its doors for a month since July 24 during the summer holidays. The terrace, usually animated by around thirty customers, was therefore empty.
No injuries are reported.
