Benfica President Luís Filipe Vieira congratulated the women’s basketball team on winning the Cup.
«The female basketball team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica is to be congratulated for the conquest, this morning, of the first Portuguese Cup in its history.
Women’s sport represents a clear and unequivocal bet by Benfica, which, along with other sports, is today the only club that competes in the championship of the five main sports.
To the athletes, the technical team and their structure, I address my congratulations for this achievement that we are very proud of and that, being the first, will occupy a special place in the history of our Club.
