Rita Ferreira and Rita Teixeira were crowned, this Friday, two-time champions of the acrobatic gymnastics world. The two gymnasts won the gold medal at the World Championships held in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan.
The female duo from Acro Clube da Maia ended the combined exercise with 28,780 points, facing competition from Hungary (26,950 points) and Kazakhstan (26,790), which completed the podium.
Bárbara Sequeira, Beatriz Carneiro and Francisca Maia, also from the Maiato club, won the silver medal in the women’s group competition.
