A BOLA – Lukaku wants to work again with ‘old acquaintance’ (Chelsea)

After publicly expressing his displeasure with the options of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, the blues, Romelu Lukaku, will be increasingly inclined to leave the London team. The Belgian player was once again left out of the squad in this Sunday’s draw between the Londoners and Liverpool (2-2), in a technical decision that would have been the last straw for Lukaku.

According to the The Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian striker will have talked to Antonio Conte, the coach with whom he won the Italian Serie A last season and who is currently at Tottenham’s service, with the aim of moving to London rivals, returning to work on the coach’s orders Italian. Lukaku, however, also publicly expressed his desire to return to Italy, more precisely to Inter Milan.

In order to take the pressure off the team, Thomas Tuchel assured the BBC that Chelsea management would meet with the player this Monday, with the aim of discussing the contours of the situation, clarifying the position of the player and the club regarding the future and a possible transfer. Even so, the coach guarantees that Lukaku’s situation is not definitive, guaranteeing that there is still room for him to return to the London club’s first options.

Remember that the 28-year-old Belgian player arrived at Chelsea last summer for 115 million euros, having scored seven goals in 18 games played this season.
