The president of the Venezuelan football federation, Jorge Giménez, announced this Friday that the Portuguese coach José Peseiro has resigned as the coach.
«On the day of yesterday [quinta-feira] We received a letter from José Peseiro terminating the contract. We spoke with him and understood his point of view. He asked us for time to analyze, but then called us to confirm his departure. We didn’t want this to be the outcome, but we must face what is happening and what will come. We ask the country to trust us, as their concerns are ours. Better times will come, now it’s time to put house and order», revealed Giménez, at a press conference.
Remember that José Peseiro was introduced as Venezuela’s selector in February of last year, and only in 2021 he played official games, adding only one victory in a dozen matches.
